Terms for using the service – Bike North

Bike North, Dyrehavevej 1, 2930 Klampenborg, CVR: 41615907, runs a rental service where customers can rent bikes and participate in guided or self-guided bike tours. Equipment can be picked up directly from our location. Accessories such as helmets and water bottles are included free of charge.

1. General

These terms apply to the rental and sale of goods and services from https://bikenorth.dk/ to consumers. The terms, together with your order, constitute the complete contractual basis for the rental or purchase.

2. Definition of Parties

Lessor or seller is: Bike North (referred to as "we", "us", or "Bike North").
Tenant or buyer is: the person named in the order (referred to as "you", "your", or "customer").
Rental objects refer to bikes and accessories offered through https://bikenorth.dk/.
Form of delivery refers to direct pick-up from our location.

3. Payment and Prices

Payment is made via Visa or Mastercard online through our secure payment provider Stripe. Full payment is required at the time of booking.

No deposit is required.

All prices include VAT. The total rental or purchase cost is shown at checkout. If there are significant pricing errors on our website, we reserve the right to change or cancel the order, even after confirmation, provided the error is communicated promptly.

4. Condition of Rental Items

Bike North ensures that all bikes and accessories are in operational condition and properly maintained.

You are responsible for any damage or loss occurring during the rental period unless caused by a technical fault. We advise checking the equipment before use and contacting us immediately at contact@bikenorth.dk if you notice any issues.

5. Damage or Loss

All damage, technical problems, or theft must be reported to contact@bikenorth.dk immediately.

If the bike is stolen during your rental, you are responsible for covering 100% of the replacement value. We provide locks and recommend using them at all times.

We are not liable for indirect damage, injury, or delays resulting from the use or unavailability of the rental equipment.

6. Use of Rental Equipment

Use of the equipment is at your own risk. Riders must be at least 18 years old or accompanied by an adult.

You are responsible for using the equipment safely and correctly. Instructions are available on our website and must be followed. Protective gear, such as helmets, is included free of charge.

7. Accessories

Accessories like helmets and water bottles are provided free of charge. Phone holders are also available. Some items may be sold or included depending on the rental package.

8. Tenant’s Responsibilities

You must be 18 years of age or accompanied by an adult to rent from Bike North.
When creating an account or booking, you must provide accurate contact details. All communication will be sent to the registered email and is considered valid once sent.

You agree to return the equipment by the agreed time. A late return fee of 140 DKK per hour applies.

By renting, you authorize Bike North to charge your payment card for additional fees related to late returns, damage, or loss.

9. Changes & Cancellations

To modify a booking, contact us. Changes are only valid once confirmed in writing.

Changes that impact availability may be subject to a rebooking fee of 300 DKK.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking start are eligible for a full refund.

10. Delivery & Return

Delivery and return occur at the time and place specified in your order confirmation.

Please bring a valid ID and your booking reference when collecting equipment.

You are responsible for the equipment until it is returned to us in acceptable condition. We inspect all returned equipment upon receipt.
